Frequently Asked Questions
Before contacting me, please browse through the FAQs.
What exactly do you do/sell?
I sell a variety of graphic design jobs wich include and are not restricted to brand design, print design and preparation, web design, app design, from concept to finish. Most importantly, I create designs that differentiate my clients from their competition. What I do is helping them achieve their goals in terms of boosting their profits through customer attraction and retention of ideal customers with the use of design.
How much does it cost to work with you?
It depends on what a client wants but I’m always happy to send a quote when I know what they are looking for. I like to think of your visual identity as an investment. When I combine good design with your great product or service I know it will pay off year upon year for the life of a business.
Where is your office?
I’m located in Koper, Slovenia but as a freelancer I can work from anywhere. If you would like to meet feel free to contact me through my Contact page and we will arrange for a meeting.
I know a designer that charges less. Can you match him/her?
No. Design is NOT a commodity. In the original and simplified sense, commodities were things of value, of uniform quality, that were produced in large quantities by many different producers; the items from each different producer were considered equivalent. On a commodity exchange, it is the underlying standard stated in the contract that defines the commodity, not any quality inherent in a specific producer’s product. — WIKIPEDIA. This means that a pear is a pear but a speaker is not a speaker. They differentiate by their quality. In the same way a client chooses a designer, a designer also chooses a client. It’s up to the designer to work with those who value their skills. Read the About page to view what past clients say about me and what it’s like to work with me.
How much time do you need to finish a project?
Time frames generally vary from a week to three months, depending on project complexity.
Can you start now?
Sure! I am always focused on the current client and I do not work on more than two projects at a time. All my clients get the best possible service I can offer. This means all my skills and attention to the slightest detail from start to finish.
I’ve never hired a designer. What is the process?
Here’s a brief overview but when you contact me, I’ll explain everything in detail. First we exchange some comments and thoughts on your project, I ask the questions I need to and we establish what is your vision and what you want to communicate. From this point on, I’m hands on the project. We also set some deadlines in order to make sure we’re going in the right direction. At the end I prepare your files for print, web, etc. and the project is completed.
What exactly do I get during a project?
I usually send a PDF presentation to my client showcasing different effective design options. The designs are shown in different examples to help clients visualize how the identity adapts in various situations like on signage, vehicle, business card, website, mobile application, etc. When we are happy, I send the artwork in original format along with full ownership.
I like this design, can you make it similar?
Peace of cake, but is it really a good idea? Do you want to invest your money in such a thing? Doubt it. Your goal is to differentiate your business from the rest not to look alike. This is of course much more difficult than being similar but ultimately much more rewarding.
Client says I am in a different country. Will this affect things?
The majority of my clients are not from my country, Slovenia. This has never been a problem for me as I enjoy meeting new people face-to-face or by talking on the phone or Skype. This type of communication can save everyone a lot of time that would otherwise be spent developing and refining the design. On the other hand, when everything is sorted I’m sure we can find a way to meet in person.
Can you help with printing?
Yes, I can. I’ve dealt with print companies a lot and I know wich questions could arise so I’m happy to offer money-saving advice or to talk with your print company for you.
How do you accept payment?
With most projects I ask for a 50% payment in advance through PayPal or Bank transfer before scheduling the work. The remaining 50% is paid on completion and just before I send original artwork files.
Do you offer any guarantees if I choose to work with you?
Definetly, yes. As I professional designer and trustworthy person I offer a 10 day money back guarantee if there is an issue with a finished project. I am also willing to fix a problem if there is one without additional charges. My goal is my clients hapiness so I make sure that this things do not happen.
Will you use current trends for my design?
It is not fair to have clients returning after a couple of years when their brand is out-of-date. The work I create is intended to last forever not to look trendy.
